Letecia Ellis Haywood
Founder/Principal Interior Designer
Letecia Ellis Haywood is a published, award-winning interior designer with over 18 years of design experience. She launched the namesake firm February 2021 after starting her company, Design L’Atelier, in May 2020. Letecia combines problem-solving and her eye for detail with functional design solutions to create refined interiors for each client.
Her work has been featured in the following publications: LUXE Interiors + Design, Modern Luxury Interiors Houston, and Houston Citybook. An ambassador of New York’s What’s New What’s Next in 2021 & 2022, Letecia was noted as the “One to Watch” by Modern Luxury Interiors Texas Magazine in 2022. A 2015 DCH Star on the Rise Recipient, past Houston Design Center /Audi Central Leaders in Design and past ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter President, Letecia is actively present in the local interior design community. When not at the design studio, you can find her traveling in the states or abroad. She believes that the best design inspiration is found through travel.
Shenay Keyes
Associate Interior Designer
Shenay began her design career in 2013 as a design assistant. Now with over 10 years of high-end residential experience, she takes projects from concept to completion as an Associate Designer with the LEHID team. She is extremely passionate about exploring creative ideas, vendors, and products. However, even more passionate about developing and nurturing client relationships. Gaining a true understanding of their vision and delivering something that is above and beyond expectations.
Tapping into her love of travel, Shenay’s favorite stateside project locations have been in the Hollywood Hills and Sante Fe, where she has completed both new construction and full-home renovations in a variety of styles.
Outside of the studio you can find her exploring local nature trails, art exhibits, spending time with close friends, and planning her next trip. Shenay has her A.A. in Interior Design from San Jacinto College. She joined the LEHID team in 2020.
Blair Usnick
Associate Interior Designer
Blair has been in the high-end residential design space since 2011.
During her career, she has worked on a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and internationally in all design styles of the design spectrum but feels most at home thoughtfully curating collected interiors that reflect her clients. Blair's biggest strength is her empathy, allowing her to gain a true understanding of what clients are seeking and in turn, visualize a design that is completely unique and one-of-a-kind.
As a native Houstonian, Blair appreciates the ever-evolving restaurant and live music scene and is a devoted patron of Houston's many art museums. When not designing, you can find her and her husband at the MFAH, antiquing, or reading at home with their greyhound, Beatrice. Blair has her B.S. in Interior Design from Baylor University, is NCIDQ certified, and is an allied member of ASID.
She joined the LEHID team in 2022.
